Dr. George Goodheart
Founder of Applied Kinesiology
Dr. Goodheart passed away the other day. He was the founder of Applied Kinesiology and a wonderful human
being. He was my teacher, a friend, a true mentor. Muscle testing was started by him, infact an entire
global organization is based on the principles he discovered and refined.
What he started in 1964 has shaped the chiropractic and alternative health field. Not a day goes by that I
don’t use the “thought processes” he taught me. He had a wonder full sense of humor that you can see for yourself here as he lectures in 2005.
Today AK is used by chiropractors, medical doctors, osteopaths, dentists,
psychologists and countless other. Please take a look at some of the links about AK (applied Kinesiology)
or just google
Dr. George Goodheart and see the extent of the impact this man has had on the health field.
I could not have successes like the story below if it were not for the
teachings of Dr. Goodheart.
Thank you George for all you have done for mankind!
My first appt with Dr Randy was because of lower back pain I was having. I had never been to a chiropractor before but I thought I would give it a shot. I selected him because he was part of my health plan and I liked the
fact that he was ‘holistic’! (probably not the best reasons but I lucked out.) After only 1 appt, my back pain ceased. My next appt came roughly a year later when I was having very bad head pain (not headaches, but actual pain on the top of my head). After seeing a regular GP who told me it was stress related (and did nothing to help relieve the pain), I let Dr. Randy give it a shot. Again, just 1 appt cured the problem (disc related).
It was then I decided to start seeing him for preventative reasons. My next challenge was that my husband and I were trying to have a baby. After seeing many doctors, ob-gyns, and fertility specialists after 3 successive miscarriages and then the ability not to conceive, Dr. Randy was the only one who persisted in finding the cause when NO ONE else did. The fertility specialists chalked it up to my ‘advanced age’ (since when is
40 an advanced age??) with no specific reason to why I was not able to carry to full term OR why I was then unable to conceive. Anyway, although we cannot pinpoint the exact reason why (to the AMA anyway),
his persistence in seeing me through this – through hormonal tests, vitamin D supplements and a recommendation to change the progesterone regimen, has me proud to state that we have a beautiful 7 month old baby girl! And we laugh about the fact that I can say in jest “My chiropractor got me pregnant!”.
Chiropractors believe that what you eat (or don’t eat) can effect your state of health. Because we feel that nutritional balance is an important part of any healthy treatment plan, we recommend our thorough Nutritional Evaluation and 3-Phase Treatment Plan to get you onto a healthy track for life.
(for therest of your life?)
The Initial Health Evaluation includes: initial consultation, Applied Kinesiology (AK) examination, reflex testing,
BioMeridian, computerized nutritional questionnaire, body composition analysis, and report of findings, including a
suggested custom-designed plan of treatment taking you through the following 3 phases of care:
1. Designing and perfecting your customized individual plan: 2 months, 3 to 6 visits. Together we will perfect a plan that works for you.
2. Healing and Observational phase: 10-14 weeks. During this period we will be monitoring and adjusting your nutritional program based on the most recent findings. At the end of this period we will conduct a re-exam and either make recommendations of other tests needed* or move you on to the next phase. Office visits weekly or every 2 weeks, according to individual needs.
3. Maintenance phase: Once you have achieved a more optimum health level, naturally you want to stay well. This is
easily accomplished with periodically spaced AK and reflex examinations. These visits are scheduled according to the
maintenance program that we work out together. The idea here is to keep you healthy and on track.
Other testing that may be required in certain cases might be: blood tests, hair analysis, body temperature, vitamin testing, allergy tests, desensitization procedures, diet analysis, hormone tests, digestive tests and others.
How much does this all cost?
- The initial extended evaluation is $120.00.
- Each follow-up visit (generally 10 minutes or less) is $30.00 if paid at the time of visit.
- Extended visits, which may be required from time to time, will be factored at $15.00 per additional 5 minutes.
- Follow-up BioMeridian exams are $75.00 and may be used as comparative evaluations during the Healing and Observational phase.
Although medical insurance covers most chiropractic procedures that address disease and acute illness, it does not
cover nutrition. We want to encourage you to take matters into your own hands.
If you are fully committed to restoring your health and would like to pre-pay 15 follow-up visits, we will pass on to you a bookkeeping savings of 15%. So, 15 $30 visits will cost you only $382.50 rather than $450. As a bonus, we will include in the prepayment plan a comparative BioMeridian exam, which saves you another $75, bringing your total savings to $142.50 with the prepayment plan. There’s no better time to take charge of your nutritional health.
